Hello and welcome to The Neat Lifestyle Podcast, present in 51 countries worldwide. Thank you so much for listening. I'm your host, Katia Mesquita, and this is episode number 28. In today's episode, let's talk about simple lifestyle tweaks that can boost your success. No matter what you do or what you want to achieve, it can be personally or professionally, you want to succeed, right? But sometimes things get a little slower than we expect, or they simply don't happen at all, but there is hope for that. There are some slight changes that you can make to your lifestyle that can boost your success and make it happen.

Alright, think of something that you have been kind of trying to achieve, something that you really desire, but it's taking too long or isn't really happening at all. Is that something professional? Is that a certain revenue goal that you want to achieve, or maybe attracting more clients or uplevel your career, or maybe having your own clients? Or is it something more in your personal life that you want? Perhaps a vacation trip, or buying a new car, or remodeling your home, whatever. Somehow, you want to achieve something, but you are not getting to the finish line. The thing is that the way you live this lifestyle that you have needs some tweaks. They are very simple, and I'm going to show you because you cannot expect to succeed by having a lifestyle that doesn't include the elements of success. You cannot expect success by means that are not successful, and here are some simple tweaks you can make in your lifestyle that will flip the script for you.

First one: choosing to have a mindset favorable to success. You can do that by including a set of attitudes in your daily routine that are favorable to the result you want. For example, you want to achieve something, but you don't know how to start it. Instead of saying to yourself first thing in the morning, "I don't know how I can do that," because if you say that, you are already shutting down all possibilities. Instead, you can say, "What steps do I need to take to get there?" And as this set of attitudes are based on your beliefs, your assumptions, and expectations, you also must shift a little bit the way that you believe things to start believing in a favorable way. Something like, instead of believing it's too difficult to complete a task and assuming that nobody would help you and expecting that you may fail, consider taking a favorable approach in a way that you find reasons to believe that maybe it's easier than you think it can be as you keep searching ways to overcome challenges.

Consider also taking a different approach in assuming things. Instead of assuming that nobody would help you, maybe assuming that you can find people excited to help you, people who would be more than glad to help you. And a different approach in the expectation, expecting that results will be favorable because you either get what you want or a lesson that will get you closer to achieve what you want. We are always learning things that work, things that don't work, and the thing is, the lessons you learn when you don't succeed in something are valuable, and they are part of success because they put you a step closer. You discovered ways that don't work. You are a step closer to success and you can also teach people and help people not to fall into the same mistake.

The second one is treating your desire as a project. Even if you still don't know how you are going to get there, treat as a project. And as a project, you have, of course, some tasks to implement. You can break down these tasks into smaller tasks and put them in your calendar to make that happen. Little by little, you get there. It's like a construction with bricks. Try to see a task as a brick that you put, like, in the start to build layers of bricks, and then you have the whole construction. Every time you put a brick there, you get closer to make it happen. And the way how to get there will appear as you create your plan, as you start taking action because action brings clarity. We don't wait until we have full clarity of how we are gonna do to start doing. We first get clear what we want, and, of course, the big reason why we want that, and we start creating a plan. And as we are creating this plan and starting to add some tasks, things are gonna get clear and clear, not only by yourself but also by talking to people, and as you keep talking to other people or you reach out to a certain department, you start to get in touch with people that can give you insights, giving you some ideas of how to get there and things start becoming a reality for you.

The third one is to get rid of limiting beliefs. Limiting beliefs are those beliefs that keep you from doing what needs to be done. Let me give you an example, some examples of limiting beliefs. Believing that you are not good enough. You can change that limiting belief to a successful belief, like, "I can get better and better on that." If instead of saying that you are not good enough, you keep telling yourself, I can get better and better, things are gonna get better because you are going to find ways to get better, increasing your chances of succeeding. Another one is believing that you don't have what it takes. Changing this limiting belief for a successful belief, like, "I can search and find ways to get what it takes," it can transform everything. So, instead of saying, "I don't have what it takes," I can say, "I can search and find ways to get what it takes."

And another limiting belief that is very common and is one of the biggest reasons why so many people don't succeed is the belief that when something goes wrong or something doesn't go as expected, it would be a sign to give up, a sign that the thing they want is not for them or they are not meant for that. This is a big mistake. When things go wrong, actually, it means that we just need to change the approach, and as we keep changing the approach, we start to figure out what works and what can actually make us succeed. The thing is that in order to succeed, we need first become the type of person who succeeds, the type of person who can handle, who can face oppositions, become stronger, and every time we make a mistake or we somehow have a temporary defeat, and we don't succeed in a certain task, or something goes wrong when you are trying to achieve something, every time you face oppositions, you overcome whatever gets in your way, you become stronger and you become the type of person who can also handle success, because success comes with a lot of things and you need to be able to handle a lot of things. We need to be able to overcome, like, fear of being exposed, fear of criticism, and a lot of stuff that comes with success. And it's not only that, not the ability to just overcome opposition, like, once in a while, it's also about developing the ability to do it in a regular basis and get used to it because overcoming oppositions become the norm.

Hi there, Katia here to make a quick announcement. One of the biggest mistakes people make when they want to change their lifestyle and start attracting their own clients in revenue is quitting their jobs before preparing what they need. It usually happens because many of us were taught just how to become good employees with no access to marketing information that could actually set us free. Well, I've been there, and after discovering how marketing works and applying it myself, I started experiencing the freedom to work with something I really enjoy. Choose the days and time I'm available to work, travel wherever I want, whenever I want, and I wish the same for those who also want to experience that. I believe that a job can be something transitional, and marketing information should be accessible to everyone. That's why I've created the masterclass, "Attract Your Own Clients and Revenue Online." I wanna show you how to utilize your expertise and marketing strategies to attract your own clients and generate revenue online so you can step into the freedom you were meant to have. And better yet, this masterclass is absolutely free. The fourth one is feeling comfortable with the uncomfortable. Understanding and embracing the fact that in order to succeed, we need to go ahead and deal with uncomfortable situation, like it's the norm, like it's an everyday situation, it's part of the routine. We are not supposed to avoid dealing with uncomfortable situations that are part of the steps to achieve what we desire. It is actually something to face as a stage inside your project, like stage one, stage two, and then you move, and you go to the next level, and then, okay, you face this, and then you go to the next level. It's like a video game in which you, to get to the finish line, you have a series of obstacles to overcome, and then you go to the next level and, you know, the next, and the next, and so on. So, try to approach a project like a video game and find ways to have fun in the process. Every little challenge, every little step or task that you overcome, celebrate, and have fun, and it's something that at the end, you feel so happy about yourself, and then share with a friend of yours or, you know, give a shout-out to yourself, and it's really cool, it's really good, especially when we get to the next phase, the next level.

And one thing that people sometimes ask me a lot because I always advocate for people to follow their passion, to work with what they're really passionate about, like I do now, because I know what it is like working with something we don't enjoy, and now I work with something I really enjoy. I feel so happy about it that I kind of want everybody to experience that, and people ask me, "Katia, but even doing the work that you love, do you have moments in which you feel uncomfortable or doing something that you don't like?" Totally, yes, because one thing is choosing the area of expertise that you love, and another thing is doing some tasks inside the area of expertise that you love. There are some tasks that we also love, but there are some tasks that we don't like. Inside my work that I love, there are many, many tasks that I hate doing, but you know what? I do anyway, and this is the whole point of working with what we are passionate about. It's because when we are facing tasks that we don't like, that we don't feel comfortable, we are more willing to do them because they are related to something that we really love, okay?

I hope it went straight to the heart of the matter. That's all for today.
